Description
The bq24350/2 is a highly integrated circuit designed to protect Li-ion batteries from failures of the charging circuit. The IC continuously monitors the input voltage and the battery voltage. In case of an input over-voltage condition, the IC will turn off the internal power FET after a blanking time. If the battery voltage rises to unsafe levels during the charging process, power is removed from the system. If the input current exceeds the overcurrent threshold for a limited time, the IC will turn off the output power. The integrated charging FET can regulate the charge voltage and current according to the control from the host. The device can also provide a voltage source with overvoltage and overcurrent protection for the host controller.
