Description
The ICS65001 is a lowcost, lowjitter, highperformance clock synthesizer designed for system peripheral applications. Utilizing analog/digital PhaseLocked Loop (PLL) techniques, it accepts a parallel resonant 14.31818 MHz crystal input to generate up to eight output clocks. The device provides clocks for PCI, SCSI, Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, USB, and AC97. Users can select one of three USB frequencies and one of two AC97 audio frequencies. The OE pin tristates all outputs for boardlevel testing. All frequencies are generated with less than one ppm error, meeting the demands of SCSI and Ethernet clocking.
