Description
The WMS710x is a 256-tap non-volatile linear digital potentiometer available in 10KΩ, 50KΩ, and 100KΩ resistance values. It can be used as a three-terminal potentiometer or a two-terminal variable resistor. The output is determined by the wiper position, which varies linearly between Vss and Vdd terminals based on the content of the volatile Tap Register (TR). The TR is programmed through an Up/Down (Increment/Decrement) interface. Each channel has a non-volatile memory location (NVMEMO) that can be written to by users through the Up/Down interface. Power-on recall is built in, automatically loading the NVMEMO content into the Tap Register.
