Description
TPS2490DGS Description
The TPS2490DGS are 10-pin Hot Swap Power Manager devices with a positive high voltage output that safely drive an external N-channel MOSFET switch. The power and current limits (both adjustable and independent of one another) ensure that the external MOSFET functions within a defined safe operating area (SOA) even under the most extreme situations. Inrush current limiting, electronic circuit breaker protection, controlled load turn-on, interfacing to downstream DC-to-DC converters, and power feed protection are just a few of the applications. These devices come in a tiny, space-saving 10-pin VSSOP package, reducing the number of external devices on the board and saving valuable board space. Application notes, an assessment module, and a design tool are all included with the TPS2490DGS.
