Description

TLC59116IPWR Description
The TLC59116IPWR driver is a 28 pin TSSOP 16bit fast mode plus (FM ) I2C bus constant current LED sink driver. It is designed for red/green/blue/amber (RGBA) colour mixing and backlighting. Each LED output has its own 8bit resolution (256 steps) fixed frequency individual PWM controller that operates at 97KHz with a duty cycle that can be adjusted from 0% to 99.6%.

1MHz fast mode plus (FMT) compatible I2C bus interface with 30mA high drive capability
Internal power-on reset, no glitch on power-up
Noise filter on SCL and SDA inputs
Open load and overtemperature detection mode to detect individual LED errors
Operating temperature range -40°C to 85°C
Constant output current ranges from 5mA to 120mA
The maximum output voltage of 17V
16 constant current output channels
3.3V or 5V supply voltage
Four hardware address pins allow 14 TLC59116 devices to be connected to the same I2C bus
