This encoder is embedded inside a 8-SOIC (0.209, 5.30mm Width) package.It is recommended to pack the encoder in Tube case.There is a Surface Mount-axis mount for this motor encoder.It can be categorized as Infrared Encoder/Decoder type.TIR1000 family is used to construct the motor encoder.The optical encoder provides switching power through its 2.7V~5.5V digital power.The optical encoder is available with 8 terminations.2.7V~5.5V can be used to apply analog supply voltage.Total pins on the rotary encoders are 8.As shown in the picture, Surface Mount mounts it.It has 8 pins.70°C is the maximum value that ensures that the encoder reader runs smoothly.The minimum temperature at which this rotary encoder can be operated must not be below 0°C.In general, a higher supply voltage is required than 2.7V.It is made up of rotary encoders from the Serial IO/Communication Controllers family.The maximum supply voltage (Vsup) of the encoder motor is reached at 3.3V.This rotary encoder can also be used in order to establish CAN ALSO OPERATE AT 5V SUPPLY when using it.This quadrature encoder is capable of handling a supply voltage of 3V volts.

A transceiver device is needed to interface to the photo-sensitive diode (PIN) and the light emitting diode (LED). A UART is needed to interface to the serial data lines.
