Overview
Description
The STEF05D is an integrated electronic fuse designed to monitor output current and input voltage. It protects electronic circuitry from overcurrent and overvoltage on a 5V rail. The device features a controlled delay and turn-on time. In overload conditions, it limits output current to a safe value and enters an open state if the overload persists. It also has thermal protection, which is signaled to monitoring circuits via the Fault pin. Unlike mechanical fuses, the STEF05D can be reset by recycling the supply voltage or using the Enable pin.
