Description
The RT8497 is a power MOSFET integrated high efficiency BCM LED driver controller for high power factor applications. It integrates a power MOSFET and a boundary mode controller for step-down converters, providing precise constant output current regulation. The ZCS detector ensures operation in boundary conduction mode (BCM), resulting in excellent power efficiency and reduced EMI.

Programmable constant LED current with high-precision regulation
Extremely low quiescent current consumption and 1μA shutdown current
Compact floating buck topology with low component counts, small PCB size, and low system BOM cost
Unique programmable AND pin for ZVS setting to achieve optimal power efficiency
Support for off-line universal input voltage range
Built-in over thermal protection, over voltage protection, output LED string open protection, short protection, and over current protection
