It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in 1206 (3216 Metric) packages. In order to protect themselves from damage, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). It is advisable to set the PTC thermistors to -55°C as the minimum operating temperature. A temperature of 125°C should not be exceeded during operation of this thermistor. This power loss should be transferred and conducted by the thermistor to the circuit without overheating.
