Overview
Description
The NIS5132 is a cost-effective, resettable fuse that enhances the reliability of hard drives and other circuits against catastrophic and shutdown failures. It buffers the load device from excessive input voltage that can damage sensitive circuits. The NIS5132 also includes an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits output voltage during transients without shutting down the unit, allowing the load circuit to continue operation. Two thermal options are available: latching and auto-retry.
