Description
The MCP45XX and MCP46XX devices are a family of I²C interface digital potentiometers with non-volatile memory. They offer a wide range of product offerings, including:
Single or dual resistor network options
Potentiometer or rheostat configuration options
7-bit or 8-bit resistor network resolution
RAB resistances of 5kΩ, 10kΩ, 50kΩ, or 100kΩ
Zero-scale to full-scale wiper operation
Low wiper resistance (75Ω typical)
Low tempco (50 ppm typical for rheostat, 15 ppm typical for potentiometer)
Non-volatile memory for automatic recall of saved wiper setting
WiperLock™ technology for securing calibration settings
10 general purpose memory locations
I²C serial interface with support for 100 kHz, 400 kHz, and 3.4 MHz
Resistor network terminal disconnect feature
