Description
The MCP3221 is a 12-bit successive approximation A/D converter with a single-ended analog input channel. It features low power consumption, with a maximum conversion current of 250 μA and a standby current of 1 μA. The MCP3221 communicates via a 2-wire, I²C compatible interface, supporting both Standard (100 kHz) and Fast (400 kHz) modes. It is addressable, allowing up to eight devices on a single 2-wire bus. The MCP3221 operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V and provides excellent linearity, with a maximum differential non-linearity of ±1 LSB and integral non-linearity of ±2 LSB.
