It is an 8-bit microcontroller unit, the MC68HC11E1CFNE3 (MCU). All of the MCUs in the 68HC11E family pair the M68HC11 CPU with fast on-chip peripherals. The E series consists of numerous devices with different RAM, ROM, EPROM, and EEPROM configurations. There are also numerous low-voltage devices on the market. All E-series MCUs operate in the same same way, with a few small exceptions. The E-series devices operate at frequencies between 3MHz and DC with incredibly low power consumption thanks to a fully static design and a high-density complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (HCMOS) production technique.
