The MC33567D-2R2 Dual Linear Power Supply Controller is made to make power management easier for motherboard applications that demand dependable regulation of high current supply planes. For the purpose of controlling two distinct supply planes, it provides the Drive, Sense, and Control signals to interface two external, N-channel MOSFETs. When an undervoltage short circuit is detected, the system's operation enters a protected mode while the short is being repaired.
