Description
The MAX767 is a high-efficiency, synchronous buck controller IC designed to convert a fixed 5V supply into a tightly regulated 3.3V output. It features a high operating frequency of 300kHz, resulting in small, low-cost external surface-mount components. The inductor is physically at least five times smaller than inductors found in competing solutions. All N-channel construction and synchronous rectification reduce cost and maximize efficiency, exceeding 90% over a wide range of loading. The MAX767 is available in a 20-pin SSOP package.
