Description
The LV56841PVD is a power supply IC designed for CD receiver systems in car audio systems. It integrates five regulator outputs, two high-side power switches, over-current protection, overvoltage protection, and overheat protection. The low voltage specification for SW33V outputs significantly reduces power dissipation compared to previous models.
Features
Low consumption current: 50µA (typ, only VDD output is in operation)
Five regulator outputs:
VDD for microcontroller: output voltage: 3.3V, maximum output current: 350mA
For system: output voltage: 3.3V, maximum output current: 350mA
For audio: output voltage: 5 to 12V (set by external resistors), maximum output current: 300mA
For illumination: output voltage: 5 to 12V (set by external resistors), maximum output current: 300mA
For CD: output voltage: 6V, maximum output current: 1500mA
Two high-side switches with interlock:
VCCEXT: Maximum output current: 500mA, voltage difference between input and output: 0.75V
ANT: Maximum output current: 300mA, voltage difference between input and output: 0.5V
Supply inputs:
V6IN: 6V for system (SW33V)
VCC1: For internal reference voltage, control circuits, and VDD output
VCC2: For AUDIO, illumination, CD, EXT/ANT
Over-current protection
Overvoltage protection (OVP): VCCI, VCC2 Typ 21V (All outputs except VDD are turned off)
Overvoltage shutdown (OVS): V6IN Typ 21V (All outputs except VDD are turned off)
Overheat protection: Typ 175°C
Peh-LDMOS used in power output block
