Description
The LV25500PQA is a BiCMOS LSIFM multiplex broadcasting receiveonly tuner IC that integrates an FM tuner, PLL, and RDS demodulator into a single chip. ON Semiconductor's unique technology reduces the number of external components required for highfrequency applications, such as coils, ceramic filters, and varicaps, which were necessary for conventional tuner ICs. This allows for the creation of small FM multiple tuners that can be installed in various devices, including AVNs and PNDs.
Features
No adjustment work is required.
The AF search processing on the main tuner side is unnecessary when used with the main tuner.
High sensitivity reception and high strong input tolerance are achieved through a builtin LNA with a WIDEAGC function.
Third and fifth high harmonic rejection type mixers are used for local oscillation.
The local oscillation and IFBPF injection can be switched between UPPER and LOWER when an image signal is detected.
The builtin RDS demodulator simplifies the tuner set design.
A crystal oscillation frequency of 36.8 MHz is used.
The number of external parts is minimized.
A complex image attenuation type BPF is builtin.
IFBPF is builtin using a LOWIF frequency (IF = 575 kHz).
The S meter has a wide dynamic range.
An S meter tuning system is used.
The DLL demodulation method is used for the FM demodulation circuit.
An LPF for carrier removal is builtin.
The S meter level, adjacent obstruction level, and multipath can be detected and read via the IC BUS.
