Description
The LTC4352 is a low voltage ideal diode controller that uses an external N-channel MOSFET to create a near-ideal diode. It replaces high power Schottky diodes and heat sinks, saving power and board area. The ideal diode function enables low loss power ORing and supply holdup applications. The LTC4352 regulates the forward voltage drop across the MOSFET to ensure smooth current transfer in diode-OR applications. Fast turn-on and turn-off times minimize load voltage droop and reverse currents. The controller operates with supplies from 2.9V to 18V. It features undervoltage and overvoltage protection, open MOSFET detection, status and fault outputs, and hot swappability.
