Description
The HV9805 is an off-line LED driver IC designed for general LED lighting products. It features a two-stage topology that provides true constant current drive for the LED load while drawing mains power with high power factor and efficiency. The first stage is a boundary conduction mode boost converter with power factor correction, while the second stage is a linear post-regulator with low overhead voltage. The IC is particularly suited for driving high-voltage LED loads, offering cost advantages in heat management and optics. It also supports the SEPIC topology for applications with low output voltage.
