Description
The DRV590 is a high-efficiency power amplifier designed for driving thermoelectric cooler elements in systems powered from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. It utilizes PWM operation and low output stage on-resistance to minimize power dissipation. The DRV590 is protected against over-temperature conditions and current overloads due to short circuits. The over-temperature protection activates at a junction temperature of 190°C and deactivates once the temperature drops below 130°C. In case of an overcurrent condition, the amplifier automatically resets after 3-5 ms.
