Description
The CDCE937/CDCEL937 is a programmable 3PLL VCXO clock synthesizer with 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V LVCMOS outputs. It is a member of the Programmable Clock Generator Family, which includes the CDCE913/CDCEL913 (1PLL, 3 Outputs), CDCE925/CDCEL925 (2PLL, 5 Outputs), CDCE937/CDCEL937 (3PLL, 7 Outputs), and CDCE949/CDCEL949 (4PLL, 9 Outputs).
The CDCE937/CDCEL937 features insystem programmability and EEPROM, a serial programmable volatile register, and nonvolatile EEPROM to store customer settings. It has a flexible input clocking concept, including an external crystal (8 MHz to 32 MHz) and an onchip VCXO with a pull range of ±150 ppm. The singleended LVCMOS input clock can operate up to 160 MHz.
The CDCE937/CDCEL937 has a selectable output frequency of up to 230 MHz, a lownoise PLL core, integrated PLL loop filter components, and low period jitter (typ. 60 ps). It has separate output supply pins (3.3 V and 2.5 V for CDCE937, 1.8 V for CDCEL937), a flexible clock driver, and three userdefinable control inputs (S0/S1/S2) for SSC selection, frequency switching, output enable, or power down.
The CDCE937/CDCEL937 generates highly accurate clocks for video, audio, USB, IEEE1394, RFID, Bluetooth, WLAN, Ethernet, and GPS. It generates common clock frequencies used with TI DaVinci, OMAP, and DSPs. It also features programmable SSC modulation and enables 0PPM clock generation.
