Description
The time-base oscillator is critical to the time-keeping functions of the bq3285, bq4285, and bq4845 series of Real-Time-Clocks (RTCs). The RTC time-base oscillator is designed to work with an external piezoelectric 32.768kHz crystal. The crystal can be represented by its electrical equivalent circuit and associated parameters. The basic circuit can be resolved into equivalent resistive (R) and reactive (X) components.
