Description
The ADS8413 is a 16-bit, 2-MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a 4-V internal reference. It features a capacitor-based SAR ADC with inherent sample and hold. The device also includes a 200-Mbps LVDS serial interface designed for daisy chaining or cascading multiple devices. A selectable 16-/18-bit data frame mode allows for the use of a single shift register chip (SN65LVDS152) to convert data to parallel format. The ADS8413 supports a unipolar differential input range of -4 V to 4 V with a common-mode voltage of Vet/2. The nap feature provides significant power savings at lower conversion rates. The ADS8413 is available in a 48-pin QFN package.
