Description
The ADS7887 is a 10-bit, 1.25-MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an inherent sample and hold. It features a capacitor-based SAR architecture and a serial interface controlled by CS and SCLK signals. The device operates from a wide supply range of 2.35 V to 5.25 V and consumes low power, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. It also includes a power-saving power-down feature for lower conversion speeds. The digital input high level is not limited to the device VDD, allowing it to go as high as 5.25 V when the device supply is 2.35 V. This feature simplifies power-up sequencing and relaxes restrictions on digital signal sources. The ADS7887 is available in a 6-pin SOT23 package and is specified for operation from -55°C to 125°C.
