Description
The ADS1000 is a low-power, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a serial I²C interface. It is packaged in a tiny SOT-23-6 package and features a complete data acquisition system. The ADS1000 operates from a single power supply ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes only 90μA. It has an integral nonlinearity of 1LSB max and performs conversions at a rate of 128 samples per second (SPS). The onboard programmable gain amplifier (PGA) offers gains of 1, 2, 4, or 8, allowing smaller signals to be measured with high resolution. In single-conversion mode, the ADS1000 automatically powers down after a conversion, reducing current consumption during idle periods.
