Description
The AD8214 is a high-speed, high common-mode voltage threshold detector that operates with a single supply voltage ranging from 5V to 65V. It features a fast comparator optimized for high-side operation and an integrated 2.4V series regulator that sets an input comparison threshold below the supply voltage. The inputs can be operated at, slightly above, or below the power supply, with a differential voltage range of 500mV. The device has a current output of less than 100nA when -IN is greater than IN and 1mA when IN is greater than -IN. The input voltages and internal regulator are referenced to the supply voltage. The input-to-output response time is typically less than 100ns. A small hysteresis (10mV) is activated when the output switches from low to high to minimize noise effects and prevent false state conditions. The AD8214 is available in an 8-lead MSOP package and operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
