Description
AD7951BCPZRL Overview
Surface Mount is a type of packaging for electronic components that allows them to be mounted directly onto a printed circuit board. In this case, the component is a YES series iCMOS® PulSAR® ADC with a JESD-609 Code of e3. This code indicates that the component meets industry standards for electrical and environmental testing. However, it is important to note that this particular component has not yet been qualified, meaning it has not gone through the necessary testing and certification process. The input type for this ADC is differential, meaning it can take in two different signals and compare them. It has a supply type of analog and digital, and is a dual component. The resolution of this ADC is 1.75 B, and it has a sampling rate of 1 million samples per second. It also has a low integral nonlinearity (INL) of 1 LSB, indicating high accuracy. The ratio of sample and hold to ADC is 1:1, meaning the component is able to accurately capture and convert the input signals.

The AD7951 is a 14-bit, charge redistribution, successive approximation register (SAR) architecture analog-to-digital converter (ADC) fabricated on Analog Devices, Inc.'s iCMOS high voltage process. The device is configured through hardware or via a dedicated write only serial configuration port for input range and operating mode. The AD7951 contains a high speed 14-bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, an internal reference (and buffer), error correction circuits, and both serial and parallel system interface ports. A falling edge on NVST samples the analog input on IN with respect to a ground sense, IN-. The AD7951 features four different analog input ranges and three different sampling modes: warp mode for the fastest throughput, normal mode for the fastest asynchronous throughput, and impulse mode where power is scaled with throughput. Operation is specified from -40°C to 85°C. Applications Process control Medical instruments High speed data acquisition Digital signal processing Instrumentation Spectrum analysis ATE
