Description
The ICS813N2521-04 is a PLL-based synchronous multiplier optimized for PDH or SONET to Ethernet clock jitter attenuation and frequency translation. It features two internal frequency multiplication stages cascaded in series: a VCXO PLL for reference clock jitter attenuation and a FemtoClockⓇ NG frequency multiplier for low-jitter, high-frequency Ethernet output. Pre-divider and output divider multiplication ratios are selectable using device selection control pins, supporting common clock rates in PDH, SONET, and Ethernet applications. The VCXO requires an external pullable crystal and uses external passive loop filter components for PLL loop bandwidth and damping configuration. The device is packaged in a 32-VFQFN package and operates in the industrial temperature range.
