Built using advanced dual metal CMOS technology
Can be used as two 8-bit latches or one 16-bit latch
Latch enable (LE) input controls data latching
Buffered output enable (OE) input controls output state (normal logic or high-impedance)
Series resistors in output structure reduce line noise
Bus-hold feature retains input state when input goes to high impedance
