TSMC to build 5nm fab in the US

The United States became the winner in the latest round of trade disputes with China: TSMC announced plans to build a 5nm fab in Arizona, ending months of speculation about the possibility of the world ’s top pure wafer foundries taking this move.
The coronavirus pandemic may worsen the trade relationship between the two countries, but the all-weather accommodation demand it creates will enable ODM Quanta Computer to achieve double-digit growth in notebook shipments in the second quarter of 2020. Chassis manufacturer Chenbro has also seen strong demand from the US and China, which has also driven the growth of the server supply chain.
